Soybean has a precise growth cycle that determines quality, protein density, and harvest timing. Here's how the KPK soybean crop develops from planting to delivery.

Planting
Seeds are sown in warm soil (ideal 20–30°C) in KPK's farming valleys. Soybean fixes nitrogen from the air, enriching soil naturally — it is planted in rotation with wheat and rice crops as part of sustainable crop management.

June – July
Germination & Early Growth
Seeds germinate within 5–10 days. Plants develop their characteristic trifoliate leaves and establish their root system. Nitrogen-fixing bacteria (Bradyrhizobium japonicum) begin forming symbiotic nodules on the roots.

August – September
Pod Formation & Filling
Flowering occurs and pods begin forming along the stem. This is the critical phase — adequate rainfall and temperatures between 20–30°C during pod filling directly determine the protein and oil content of the final seeds.

Harvest
Pods turn brown and seeds reach full maturity. Harvested by hand or machine, seeds are dried and cleaned. KPK yields range from 12 to 20 mounds per acre — the cooler hilly conditions produce seeds with the highest protein density.

Dried soybean seeds have excellent storage characteristics. Properly dried to below 13% moisture, they can be stored for 12+ months without quality loss — enabling us to supply buyers consistently throughout the year from a single harvest.

Soy Milk
Soybean seeds are soaked, ground, and heated to extract soy milk — the most widely consumed plant-based milk globally. With a biological value of 91 (comparable to dairy milk at ~88), soy milk is produced by beverage companies and used as a lactose-free dairy alternative. Soy milk production requires consistent, high-protein whole soybeans.
Soy Sauce
Soy sauce — the world's most widely used condiment — is made by fermenting soybeans with wheat, salt, and specific mold cultures. Pakistani and international food manufacturers producing soy sauce require high-quality whole soybeans as the primary raw material. The protein quality of the soybean directly affects the flavour depth of the final sauce.
Tofu & Soy Products
Tofu is made by coagulating soy milk and pressing the curds into solid blocks. Along with soy flour, soy protein concentrates, soy isolates, and textured vegetable protein (TVP), tofu forms part of a growing category of soy-based protein foods used by food manufacturers as meat and dairy alternatives.
Soybean Oil
At 20% oil content, soybeans are a major oilseed crop. Soybean oil is the world's second most widely used cooking oil.
