Soybean Seeds

Pakistan's most nutrient-dense legume β€” called the "Miracle Crop" and "Golden Bean" by agricultural scientists. Sourced from KPK, where Pakistan's finest soybean grows. 40% protein content. Used for soy milk, soy sauce, tofu, soy flour, poultry feed, and soybean oil.

✨
The "Miracle Crop" β€” 40% Protein, 20% Oil
Soybean is scientifically termed a "Miracle Crop" and "Golden Bean" because of its extraordinary nutritional composition. At 40% protein and 20% oil, it contains more protein than any other legume. Soybean protein quality is nutritionally equivalent to meat, milk, and eggs β€” making it the most sought-after plant protein globally. Introduced to Pakistan in the 1960s, KPK remains the primary growing region where climate conditions best support quality soybean cultivation.

Sourcing Region

Sourced from KPK β€”
Pakistan's soybean heartland.

Research confirms KPK is the primary region where soybean cultivation has persisted in Pakistan. The province's cooler climate, hilly terrain, and distinct seasons provide ideal conditions for soybean cultivation across Malakand, Hazara, and DI Khan divisions.

πŸ”οΈ
Primary Region
Malakand Division
Home to some of Pakistan's most fertile agricultural valleys. Research identifies Malakand Division as a key soybean production zone in KPK, with suitable agro-climatic conditions including adequate rainfall and cooler growing temperatures.
Swat Mardan Swabi Buner
πŸŒ„
Secondary Region
Hazara Division
Hazara Division's elevated terrain and temperate climate are well-suited for soybean cultivation. The hilly areas of Hazara produce soybean with higher protein density due to cooler growing conditions and quality soil composition.
Abbottabad Mansehra Haripur

Southern KPK
Dera Ismail Khan
DI Khan (Dera Ismail Khan) contributes to soybean production in southern KPK, benefiting from fertile plains and established irrigation. Soybean is grown here in rotation with wheat, fitting naturally into the existing cropping calendar.

Crop Calendar & Availability

Winter crop.
Year-round supply.

Soybean is a Kharif crop planted in the warm season and harvested in October–November. Post-harvest, dried soybean seeds store exceptionally well β€” enabling year-round supply from a single harvest.

Crop Growth Timeline

From seed to
golden bean.

Soybean has a precise growth cycle that determines quality, protein density, and harvest timing. Here's how the KPK soybean crop develops from planting to delivery.

1
April – May
Planting
Seeds are sown in warm soil (ideal 20–30Β°C) in KPK's farming valleys. Soybean fixes nitrogen from the air, enriching soil naturally β€” it is planted in rotation with wheat and rice crops as part of sustainable crop management.
2
June – July
Germination & Early Growth
Seeds germinate within 5–10 days. Plants develop their characteristic trifoliate leaves and establish their root system. Nitrogen-fixing bacteria (Bradyrhizobium japonicum) begin forming symbiotic nodules on the roots.
3
August – September
Pod Formation & Filling
Flowering occurs and pods begin forming along the stem. This is the critical phase β€” adequate rainfall and temperatures between 20–30Β°C during pod filling directly determine the protein and oil content of the final seeds.
4
October – November
Harvest
Pods turn brown and seeds reach full maturity. Harvested by hand or machine, seeds are dried and cleaned. KPK yields range from 12 to 20 mounds per acre β€” the cooler hilly conditions produce seeds with the highest protein density.
5
November – Year-Round
Storage & Supply
Dried soybean seeds have excellent storage characteristics. Properly dried to below 13% moisture, they can be stored for 12+ months without quality loss β€” enabling us to supply buyers consistently throughout the year from a single harvest.

Primary Uses & Applications

Six industries.
One miracle crop.

Soybean is arguably the most versatile agricultural commodity in the world. A single seed can become soy milk, soy sauce, tofu, cooking oil, animal feed, or a protein supplement β€” making it essential across multiple industries simultaneously.

πŸ₯›
Soy Milk
Soybean seeds are soaked, ground, and heated to extract soy milk β€” the most widely consumed plant-based milk globally. With a biological value of 91 (comparable to dairy milk at ~88), soy milk is produced by beverage companies and used as a lactose-free dairy alternative. Soy milk production requires consistent, high-protein whole soybeans.
πŸ«™
Soy Sauce
Soy sauce β€” the world's most widely used condiment β€” is made by fermenting soybeans with wheat, salt, and specific mold cultures. Pakistani and international food manufacturers producing soy sauce require high-quality whole soybeans as the primary raw material. The protein quality of the soybean directly affects the flavour depth of the final sauce.
⬜
Tofu & Soy Products
Tofu is made by coagulating soy milk and pressing the curds into solid blocks. Along with soy flour, soy protein concentrates, soy isolates, and textured vegetable protein (TVP), tofu forms part of a growing category of soy-based protein foods used by food manufacturers as meat and dairy alternatives.
πŸ›’οΈ
Soybean Oil
At 20% oil content, soybeans are a major oilseed crop. Soybean oil is the world's second most widely used cooking oil. Pakistan imports significant volumes of edible oil annually β€” soybean's 20% oil content makes it a viable candidate for domestic edible oil production by oil mills and food processors.
πŸ”
Poultry & Animal Feed
Soybean meal β€” the residue after oil extraction β€” is the most important protein source in animal and poultry feed worldwide. Pakistan's growing poultry industry requires large volumes of high-protein soybean meal. Feed manufacturers, poultry farms, and fish farms are major buyers of soybean for this purpose.
πŸ’Š
Protein Supplements & Nutraceuticals
Soy protein isolates (90%+ protein purity) and soy protein concentrates are used in sports nutrition, protein powders, infant formula, and health supplements. Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies sourcing soybean as raw material require consistent protein content and seed purity β€” which KPK-sourced soybeans provide.
